Warm Air Pipe
 
Round pipe is commonly used in HVAC systems to transport air to and from various areas within a building. Conditioned air flows from a furnace or air conditioning unit through the supply line, while unconditioned air returns via the return line. Typically serving as a branch line off the main trunk, round pipe carries air to its final destination. It is often installed out of sight—in crawl spaces, between floors, or in attics. Additionally, aluminum or light-gauge galvanized round pipe is frequently used to safely vent fumes from gas appliances to the outside.
